Puck Deflectors:
The member federations of ITHF decided by voting in the ITHF Extraordinary Delegates Conference Autumn 2011 that the players should have the chance to use a puck deflector if they – at the same time – gave his/her opponent the chance to use the same type of puck deflector.
This
is an improvement for the players who are seeing in-and-outs being a very
deciding fact in many matches.
Moreover a player cannot put a puck deflector in his/her own goal.
The opponent can choose himself/herself if they want to use a puck deflector.
The
Executive Committee of ITHF is aware of the fact that some member federations
have voted no not because they dislike puck deflectors but because they want a
better rule text.
Therefore the Executive Committee will continue the communication with these
federations in order to formulate a new rule text that will be voted about
later.
Payment to ITHF:
ITHF
wants to buy a trophy to the overall winner of ITHF World Tablehockey Tour and
moreover ITHF should not let a private person pay for the domain of the
website.
A future goal for ITHF – if many nations will use the chance to buy extra
tournaments at level 4 and in this way bring more money into ITHF – is to pay
the participation fees for players committing themselves to be referees in big
tournaments such as World Championships, European Championships and ITHF WTHT
Big6.
We also regard it as an appreciation of good work if ITHF could buy a gift to
important volunteers such as the administrator of the official ITHF World
Ranking.
St. Petersburg Masters 2012:
A majority of the member federations decided not to approve St. Petersburg
Masters 2012 with level 2 or level 3.
In the Executive Committee of ITHF we are aware of the fact that the main
reason is unsecurity about the qualification rules for this tournament.
Therefore ITHF will work with setting up qualification rules so a good
initiative from the Federation of St. Petersburg can be combined with the
approval of this tournament if the Federation of St. Petersburg is still
interested.
Game Rules and Tournament Rules:
The Executive Committee of ITHF are satisfied with the big number of federations participating by voting in the ITHF Extraordinary Delegates Conference Autumn 2011.
Moreover we would ask you to remind your players to continuously read the Game Rules before every tournament – especially before a tournament belonging to ITHF World Tablehockey Tour – in order to avoid discussions about rules.
Moreover we would ask every organizer to read the total document ITHF Tournament Rules when applying for and before organizing a tournament belonging to ITHF World Tablehockey Tour.
